A SMILE ON MY FACE AND A GOOD ATTITUDE

Moo was a little late getting going with the walking this morning, so I started off without him…and I started thinking back to a few years ago, when we would have what I call “morning wars” – me yelling for him to get up, him not getting up, etc…, which made for some stressful mornings…Moo even told me one time, “Let’s face it ma, I’m not a morning person…” . At one point, I even created a… chore list for Moo with a happy emoticon as one of the chores and the saying “Wake up with a smile on my face and a good attitude” written beside it ( I really chuckled at myself at that memory)….fast forward to today, and we have called a truce with the morning wars (mostly), but this saying got me to thinking about myself and I had an epiphany….This is what God has been trying to teach me: no matter what you face in life Keischa, I want you to have a smile on your face and a good attitude…..a very tall order for KP….lol……my moods admittedly oscillate between “whoo hoo! God is in control!”, to “Oh Lord, what am I gonna do now?”….and I am reminded of Job, who, no matter what he faced, he trusted and praised God….and then I thought about how in the Book of James, we are admonished to have complete faith, without doubt; do not expect to be blessed if your faith is wishy washy (KP version)…now don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that I am Job…what I am saying is that I see the similarities in the tests and the ultimate question…..If you lose what you think is important, if you go through pain and struggle, will you have a smile on your face and a good attitude? Thank you for the rhema word this morning Lord, and for seeing fit to speak to this old fool…..
